Today the Catholic Church remembers and celebrates Pope St Leo the Great, one of the few Saints to have ‘Great’ added after their name.
Prayer by St Leo the Great
Grant to us, O Lord, not to mind earthly things, but rather to love heavenly things, that while all things around us pass away, we even now may hold fast those things which last forever.
We make this prayer in Jesus’ name.
