On the 7th March St Joseph’s took part in the local heats towards the mock trial national competition.
We prosecuted against Queen Elizabeth and defended against Cartmel Priory today.
The schools involved comprised of Queen Elizabeth, Cartmel priory, Keswick and Lancaster grammar.
The winners were Cartmel Priory. The defence was particularly impressive.
The High Sheriff commented that the students at St Joseph’s were, “Professional and articulate and had developed a real passion for the case.”
They were a credit to us.
Caysie Ray Year 9 St Patricks, won the outstanding student of the competition award.
The students were very excited and enjoyed the competition.
Well done to all involved.
