Over 100 children filling 220 places had a great Easter break as they tackled various sports and arts related activities through St Joseph’s holiday camp programme.
Youngsters from the ages of 4 to 13 took part in Archery, Fishing, Dance, Drama, Cheerleading, Football, Multi Sports, Cricket, Tennis and Yoga sessions designed to educate and keep children active over the two week break.
Organiser and Sports Development Officer David Wise spoke of his delight at the turnout; “We have had such fun over the 9 days of activities and many of the children attending are now coming here for 4 or 5 days at least”. “It’s very important to keep children active, mixing socially and learning new skills through fun activities and despite the indifferent weather I think we have achieved that”.
The next four day camp will take place during the Whit half term break.
