Congratulations to students who have won awards in English this term!

Christmas Creative Writing Competition
Students in KS3 have completed some Christmas creative writing over the last week which was judged by SLT. There were so many fantastic entries it was hard to choose!
The winners of the competition were:
Year 7: Elijah McDonald
Year 8: Max Mcallister
Year 9: Billy Walker
Well done to the winners of the competition and well done to all of you who entered – fantastic work.
Read for Sucess
This week awards have been given out by teachers for our ‘Read for Success’ scheme at KS3.
Those who were awarded their certificates have shown a passion for reading this term and recognise the importance of reading regularly, but most importantly, enjoying reading!
There have been some brilliant discussions about the books being read by our students.
Well done!
Just a reminder that if you require a reading book, please check out the Library system on the school website where you can browse our school library virtually and reserve a book. This book will then be delivered to you in form time.
If you would like any book recommendations, please email your English teacher or our school librarian Mrs Wylie will be happy to help!
Director of English Awards
In addition to those winning awards for ‘Read for Success’, some of our students were also nominated for a ‘Director of English’ award from Mrs Fillingham. Well done to those students who were nominated. Your hard work and dedication in English has not gone unnoticed this term ?
Year 11
A reminder for Year 11 students that revision material has been uploaded to Teams for you to access for independent revision. If you have any issues accessing the material, please ensure you email your English teacher.
Well done to all of our students for their hard work this term – we are so proud of you!
The English department hope you have a lovely Christmas and a well-earned rest.
