We are very pleased that our GCSE 2019 headline figures in English and Maths have risen again for the third year in a row.
The number of students gaining 7+ in English and Maths has risen from 6% in 2018 to 8.3% in 2019 and the number of students gaining 5+ in English and Maths has risen from to 38% in 2018 to 41.7% in 2019. Whilst these are small gains, staff and students have worked very hard to keep our momentum of improvements.
In summary:
- Our Progress 8 score is -0.264 including remarks
- Our Attainment 8 score is 45.23
- Percentage of pupils achieving a strong pass in English and mathematics. (A ‘strong pass’ refers to a grade 5 or above) is 41.7%
- Percentage of pupils achieving the English Baccalaureate is standard pass is 23.2% and at strong pass is 15.5%
