Almost 300 Reception age children were in attendance at the annual St Joseph’s School Multi Skills festival on Tuesday the 19th of June. The event, which was run by Sports Development Officer David Wise and St Joseph’s year 8 sports leaders along with local Coaches is held every Summer term and is designed to give young children the chance to experience representing their School in a fun, friendly and low competitive environment.

With 11 classes of around 25 children rotating around 11 coordination and motor skill based stations the event is something of a challenge to host but Mr Wise was very impressed with his leaders and support staff saying; “Our team of helpers got it just right”. “They were helpful, organised and very efficient ensuring a smooth transition from one activity to the other and they made sure the children were enjoying themselves”.

In all there were 9 Schools involved and Mr Wise and the team are now looking forward to next week’s year 5 and 6 World Cup themed Football festival.
