Below you will find a link to work set by each subject, You will be asked to sign in – This is your full school email address and the password for the computers in school. If you have forgotten your password please get your parents/guardians to email helpdesk@sjchs.uk (a new password will only be sent to the parent’s/guardian’s email address we have on our system). (We will reply 9am to 3pm Mon-Fri)

English Years 7, 8 & 9 Pupils can access the folder ‘Catch-up work’ in which they can choose differentiated tasks on reading, writing and SPaG.

All pupils have been given their English exercise books to take home, they can use these to complete any written tasks and for KS4 they can use these to revise from.
All pupils should be reading for at least 15 mins each night.

Geography Year 9 Students must be doing the weekly tasks that are set on class charts .

Year 9 Students have completed Unit 1 Global Hazards, Unit 2 Changing Climate and are now half way through Unit 3 Distinctive landscapes.

They are to use the placemats on the school website to help them learn about the rest of this unit.  They should; complete annotated diagrams, take notes, practice spelling/ key word definitions and create large detailed cases study mind maps that include detailed explanations and place specific examples.

Students should categorize things into Social, economic, environmental, positives, negatives, make judgements, analyse and interpret.   This work can be done in their Geography book or in their Homework books.

Students should read their green revision book and also complete their white exam practice workbook up to date. (Pages 5-31) This will take them to the end of Unit 3.   If completed start Unit 4 Ecosystems.

Independent work will be on the School website.  Students are to go on school website; School Links, Student area on SharePoint, Geography, KS4. In this area there are many good resources

  • Case study summary sheets and questions that go with them
  • Place mats summarizing each of the topics they need to know for the exams.
