The theme of this school week is: The Good News.

The Sign of the Cross

In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.

Reflection

Prayer

Jesus, I believe you are the Son of God, that you died on the cross to rescue me from sin and death and to restore me to the Father. I choose now to turn from my sins, my self-centeredness, and every part of my life that does not please you. I choose you. I give myself to you. I receive your forgiveness and ask you to take your rightful place in my life as my Saviour and Lord. Come reign in my heart, fill me with your love and your life, and help me to become a person who is truly loving—a person like you. Restore me, Jesus. Live in me. Love through me. Thank you, God. In Jesus’ name I pray.

Amen.

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee; blessed art thou amongst women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of death. Amen.

Reflection

Prayer

Dear Father, please help me to accept that the life you are calling me to is Good News. Help me to see that Your love for me will make accepting that offer all worthwhile. Let me come to know more about You and the love You have me through out this day.

I make this prayer in Jesus name, Amen.

Our Father who art in Heaven,
Hallowed be thy name;
Thy kingdom come
Thy will be done
On earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread;
And forgive us our trespasses
As we forgive those who trespass against us;
And lead us not into temptation,
But deliver us from evil. Amen.

Our Lady Queen of Peace pray for us.
St Joseph pray for us

GoodNews

Scripture

“This Good News tells us how God makes us right in his sight. This is accomplished from start to finish by faith. As the Scriptures say, “It is through faith that a righteous person has life.” – Romans 1:17

Reflection

The Good News is that when we trust God’s grace to save us through the work of Jesus, our sins are forgiven, we get a purpose for living, and we’re promised a future home in Heaven.

God has never made a person he didn’t love. Everybody matters to him. When Jesus stretched out his arms wide on the cross, he was saying, “I love you this much!”
The Bible says, “For Christ’s love compels us, because we are convinced that one died for all …”  –2 Corinthians 5:14a

Prayer

Lord our God, draw us to yourself. Draw us into the quiet that you give, where something can happen to us and to our hearts. Thank you for the Good News that you came to give us life when we had lost it. Help us to always turn towards the life that you offer us. Through Christ our Lord.

Amen.

Dear Father in heaven,
Thank you for the gift of life you have given us. Thank you for the people you have made us to be. Help us to live our lives to the full.
Open our hearts to receive your love so that we, in return, can show love and respect to everyone in our school community, our families and our friends.
Send us your Holy Spirit so we can achieve excellence in our learning and do our personal best in all areas of school life.
May we always live, love and learn through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

Our Lady Queen of Peace pray for us.
St Joseph pray for us.
