Last week Year 9 were invited to participate in the very first Careers Safari Pilot, hosted by Inspira. Our school was specially selected to trial the session, which was designed to provide a more interactive alternative to our traditionally ran World of Work Day, which we hold annually. Our students worked through a carousel of different activities, providing an insight into a wide variety of workplace environments: ![]()

Sellafield Ltd ran sessions on coding and an insight into Health Physics. ![]()
Altrad provided a Lego challenge to introduce Engineering. One group even managed to beat the record of 6'2" for their tower with excellent team work! ![]()
Amentum brought with them the Da Vinci bridge challenge for students to navigate.![]()
Gen2 helped students look at transferable skills for the workplace.![]()
Lakes College Hair and Beauty team enabled students to get hands on with some mannequins and make them look fabulous! ![]()

Inspira ran some extremely competitive team building sessions involving students beating their personal bests!![]()
