You will soon be making choices about which secondary school you wish your child to attend in September 2023. We understand what an important decision this is for every family. To help you to make an informed choice, I warmly welcome you and your child to St Joseph’s Catholic High School for our Open Evening on Tuesday 20th September 2022. The evening will run from 4:00 pm – 7:30 pm, please come and visit us between these times at the time most convenient for you and your family.

During our open evening you will have the chance to speak to our Headteacher Mr Nevitt, learn all about our wonderful school and have the opportunity to meet our fantastic staff and students. As well as our bespoke open evening, we will be visiting our partner primaries for question-and-answer sessions with Year 6 students.

St Joseph’s was graded as ‘Good’ in all areas by Ofsted in May 2016. Our school has evolved since the last inspection and is now in a much stronger position than in 2016 following significant investment in the building with our new Creative Hub, Computer Lab and our Performing Arts suite.

We are an intentionally small school, so we know and care for every child and ensure all students are fully supported to achieve their very best. We have high aspirations for all our students in the St Joseph’s family. We have been entrusted by our local community of Workington and the surrounding areas to educate children for over 90 years, something we are immensely proud of.

This is a fabulous time to join an ambitious, rapidly improving school that places children firmly at the heart of every decision.  You can find further information about our school and watch our video tour on our website
