At St Joseph’s we want to reward our students for their hard work, effort and achievements.
We do this in a multitude of ways:
- Termly cinema trips – These reward the 15 students with the highest number of achievement points on Classcharts per year group each term.
- Weekly achievement award prize draws in assembly – These are drawn based on the previous weeks’ Classcharts information. To qualify for the draw students must have at least 10, teacher-awarded achievement points AND have not been removed from lessons for poor behaviour.
- ‘Feel Good Friday’ – Heads of Year select students on Friday morning of each week to celebrate their hard work in lessons that week.
- Student of the week – Each Head of Year selects a student who has made an outstanding contribution each week to be recognised as the student of the week for that year group
- Celebration assemblies – These are termly assemblies run by the Head of Year to celebrate all the achievements of each year group
- Post Cards and messages home – Our teachers like to recognise the hard work and progress that students put into their lessons with regular messages of praise
