2023 Update: St Joseph’s are extremely proud to have successfully passed the re-accreditation for “The Quality in Careers Standard Award” for our careers education, information, advice & guidance provision. We remain the only secondary school in West Cumbria to have successfully achieved this national award.

St Joseph’s are very proud to have achieved “The Quality in Careers Standard Award” for our careers education, information, advice & guidance provision.

Whilst you are at St Joseph’s you will follow an extensive careers program including timetabled lessons, extended assemblies and drop down days.  You will have the opportunity to meet a number of different employers, visit sixth forms, colleges and universities.

We will provide you with high quality impartial careers information, advice and guidance and equip you with the skills and knowledge you need to make effective informed choices. You will take part in a wide variety of activities to include word ready days, world at work days, mock interviews and have the opportunity to attend a number of industry specific talks from local business people in addition to attending one week of work experience in year 10.
